Gislingham Play Park - Update

Date: 1 May 2022

Whilst we finalise details of the CCTV installation and work with contractors to source designs and prices for a new and improved playpark, we have had help from volunteers from the village and have managed to get Gislingham Playpark open to the public once again.

We are aware that the site still needs lots of work and what we have now is a temporary solution intended to provide some equipment, including the ever popular zip wire, for village children to play on while we undertake further improvements.

We are aware of, and share, the frustration that villagers feel about the conditions in the playpark and we want to assure people that we are working as quickly as we can to get the village the facilities we would all like it to have.

We ask for support from villagers to help us monitor the site for damage and broken glass and encourage villagers to report any antisocial behaviour they witness at the playpark (or elsewhere in the village) to the police by calling the non-emergency number 101. If no- one reports incidents the police cannot take action to solve any problems.
